The local mountain of Grindelwald and insider tip for all snowboarders is the First. Mostly easy to intermediate pistes can be used here, with the descent from the 2,500 metre-high Oberjoch demanding everything even from experts. The most difficult descent is the 6 km long "First-Egg-Bort-Grindelwald" with a difference in altitude of 1,118 metres, while the longest descent is 12 km long and leads from Oberjoch via Schreckfeld to Grindelwald.
The main ski area, the interconnected ski areas from Grindelwald to Wengen with interesting deep snow areas, impresses with over 100 km of pistes of all levels of difficulty as well as the traditional "Lauberhorn" World Cup downhill run.
The Mürren-Schilthorn ski area offers a further 54 km of pistes, where the highest point in the ski area is reached at the Piz Gloria restaurant (2,970 m). The fantastic view is definitely worth a visit!
Snowboarders can have fun in the large fun park with half-pipe on the Lauberhorn, in the White Elements Park on First or in the beginners' park on Kleine Scheidegg. The region also offers great floodlit pistes and beautiful freeride areas.
