Ski area Winterpol Karpacz
The ski area of Winterpool Karpacz is located on the lower-half of Sniezka Mountain, the largest mountain in the Giant Mountains, with an altitude of 1,602 m. The ski area was completely renovated in 2011 and offers modern lifts and the high-speed 6-pers. covered chair. Two lifts and 2,5 km of piste are at your disposal. In the upper part, most of the pistes are red ones, here is also a baby lift for practice. Further down, several blue and red pistes begin to branch out over the area, most of them easy to navigate. All of the pistes can be artificially snowed up and in February illuminated piste is also available for night time skiiers. The ski area is relatively simply furnished, however thanks to the great views and the popular Sniezka mountain, of which is well-loved among residents and tourists alike, the area has always got something going on during the season from January to the beginning of April.
On the opposite side of the mountain, the ski area Śnieżka Karpacz offers a further 3,5 km of piste. Down from Schneekoppe, at an altitude between 820 to 1,350 m, there is a ski lift and 4 ski tows. You can purchase a lift pass for those directly in resort.

Besides skiing, Karpacz also offers a diverse leisure programme, thanks to its charming surroundings. Through the tourist-friendly infrastructure, the resort offers holiday-goers everthing they could need. Restaurants prepare regional and international dishes, and several cafes, bars and discos sweeten up the afternoon and evenings after a day of skiing.
For those who need to keep their momentum going, numerous hiking trails through the gorgeous Karkonosze National Park are available to explore, of which expand over both sides of the Polish-Czech border and wide areas of the Giant Mountains. Rock canyons, small mountain lakes and wide plateaus shape the wild and romantic landscape. Whether by foot, sled, cross-country- or touring skis, all nature-lovers are sure to get their money's worth in this spectacular location. Furthermore, tobogganing fans will find a non-weather-dependet bobsleigh track, the "Alpine Coaster," directly in Karpacz. The track runs over a serpentine-packed stretch of 800 m and is open all year round.
