Ski area Folgaria-Lavarone

The lift pass "Folgaria-Lavarone" grants you access to perfectly maintained ski areas in the interconnected ski area "Skitour dei Forti" with a total of approx. 100 km of piste. On the high-altitude plateau Alpe Cimbra, family-friendly areas stretch across several mountain ridges around the resorts Lavarone, Folgaria and Luserna.

Access to the ski area Lavarone with its approx. 30 km of piste can be found in the district Lavarone-Bertoldi. Here you can catch the 3-person chair lift to the Tablat with its mainly blue pistes and one red run called "Tablat". Passing the neighbouring mountain Ust and the pretty mountain lake in Malga Laghetto, two further lifts take you up to the ski area Lavarone at the Virgo Maria on 1,700 m altitude. A 2 km long black piste called "Avez del Prinzipe"starts here - one of the most beautiful pistes in Trentino. It is named after a 300-year-old and 60 m high silver fir tree, which towers up next to the piste. The "Neveland" is there for the little ones and for a bite to eat, several rustic wooden huts can be found along the piste.

The free-of-charge ski bus takes you from Lavarone to the 15 km distant Folgaria and thus into the ski area Folgaria-Fiorentini. Here, another 70 km of piste of all levels await. In Folgaria, the areas Costa, Francolini, Fondo Piccolo, Fondo Grande, Malga Ortesino and Serra form an interconnected ski area, which also connects the ski area Fiorentini. The majority of runs is intermediate, but beginners and pros will also find plenty of great pistes. The Serrada is the longest descent in the area with its 3.1 km length, covering around 350 m altitude difference, and is very good for beginners. The Fondo Grande (Martinella Nord) is known as the most difficult run and gives even experienced skiers a good thrill over the course of 1.6 km.

Freestylers and snowboarders will find something to do in the Lavarone and Folgaria alike, where several snowparks wait up with obstacles.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Après ski Lavarone

After a day on the piste, several activities await guests in Lavarone. Have a good time with family and friends ice-skating on Lake Lavarone and going snowtubing near the ski area. On a snowshoe hike or an extensive walk with or without a guide you can explore the approx. 200 km of walking tracks in the region. A 700 m long toboggan run in the district Bertoldi gives everyone a thrill. Furthermore, the ski area offers the first Winter Disc Golf Park in Europe and the chance to go snow biking - pure winter fun is guaranteed!

A dozen restaurants and pizzerias ensure that you can re-energise, and the cosy pubs as well as the two discos make for a good time in the evening. For groups, there's bowling and a small casino. A cinema, a theatre and a sports centre round off the offer. If you prefer to relax, you're in for a treat at the spa centre "Lavarone Wellness". In the different districts of Lavarone, everyone can find the leisure activity that suits them best.

Snowpark: Snowpark Prinze Park Lavarone

In Folgaria-Lavarone a number of snow and funparks are available for learners and pros alike: in the ski area Lavarone the "Prinze Park" is the hot spot for all shredders. It is located at the gentle slopes of the blue run 7 at the Tablat mountain and is suitable for beginners and intermediates alike. Low kickers make this a perfect start for beginners, and youngsters will even find a kid-line here. Intermediates have a series of fun boxes at their disposal, as well as a flat box, a rainbow box and a mega-butter-box. You can even connect your iPod to a speaker system here so you can shred to your favourite tunes.

Folgaria offers the "Mazinga Park" with its beginner's line is accessible via the Cengio-Rosso chair lift and is something for brave beginners. Small jumps and boxes like the 6 m wave box, the 5 m wall, the 8 m kinky box, a 4 m wood and kids box and the 9 m mammoth box fill up the 550 m long piste and offer the perfect entry into the freestyle world for beginners. Absolute beginners can try out the three easyparks with smaller jumps in the ski areas Francolini, Alpe di Folgaria-Coe and Costa.
