Ski area Silberberg - Bodenmais

With the "Silberberg" lift pass, you can use the ski area of the same name, which comprises around 2 km of pistes and is ideal for beginners with its easy descents. Here you will experience relaxed and peaceful days of skiing! For the little ones, the magic carpet in the children's ski park also offers ideal conditions for learning their first steps on skis.

However, those looking for more variety should head to the "Großer Arber" ski area (ski pass purchase on site), which can be easily reached by ski bus. It offers around 10 kilometres of descents of all levels of difficulty and even a World Cup course! Thanks to major investments in lifts and snow-making facilities, the ski area has been extensively modernised in recent years and can often boast a high reliability of snow until spring. Snowboarders and skiers get their money's worth in the family cross park with boxes, small jumps, steep turns and fun waves. For the little ones, there are conveyor belts, a ski carousel and a flat practice area for their first attempts on skis in the "ArBär Kinderland". In the evening, another special experience awaits you with floodlit skiing.

Snowpark Silberberg - Bodenmais: Snowpark Family Cross-Park

There is no snowpark on the Silberberg itself, but freestylers will also find suitable terrain on the largest and most reliable mountain in the Bavarian Forest, the Großer Arber, which offers a beautiful panorama at a considerable height of 1,456 metres. The "family cross park" on the Thurnhof slope guarantees fun and socialising hours for beginners and advanced riders as well as an ideal introduction to the freestyle scene. An opening in the fence provides access to the entrance hall/area of the park, which is clearly separated from the normal piste.

The obstacles are perfectly tailored to the needs of inexperienced freestylers. From the starting hill, kickers and boxes to children's rails and fun waves, it is a successful and extremely popular change of pace for families who like to try out new things.
