Ski holidays Grächen - a winter wonderland at the Matterhorn!

The little resort Grächen in Matter Valley is spoiled by sunlight nearly all the time. At least statistics say that Grächen is the resort with the lowest precipitation in all Switzerland. Luckily the village is located on a sunny terrace at an altitude of 1,617 m, so that holidaymakers can still look forward to snow during the winter despite the wonderfully sunny weather. The community Grächen has 1,400 inhabitants and is nearly car free, which makes it an especially safe spot for families with children. All in all, the whole resort and ski region are suited for holidays with kith and kin. Above the valley is a child-friendly ski area, that is not only called "fairyland" because of its high guarantee for snow. The family destination was awarded with the Swiss quality seal "Families welcome", and parents with children can expect the appropriate services.

Matterhorn

The "Zermatt-Matterhorn" destination is composed of the three resorts Zermatt, Täsch and Randa. The region is situated in the heart of the Wallis Alps and is surrounded by approx. 38 "4,000s". Zermatt is located at the foot of the most famous mountian, the Matterhorn. The gorgeous landscape offers a snow-sure ski area with many mountain restaurants, which guarantee an unforgettable panoramic view. In addition to skiing or snowboarding, guests also have the opportunity to go ice climbing, paragliding or snow shoe hiking. Once in resort, visitors should also take a glance at the world-famous Swiss watches and pocket knives.
