Ski area Arabba-Marmolada

With 23 lift systems and 63 kilometres of piste, the ski area Arabba-Marmolada offers varied slopes for beginners as well as for more advanced skiers and is one of the most popular ski areas in the Dolomiti Superski network. As a result of the high altitude location at 1,602 to 2,500 metres, the ski area is particularly reliable for snow.

At the foot of the so-called "Queen of the Dolomites", winter sports fans can expect a true ski paradise with the lift pass Arabba-Marmolada. A highlight of the ski area is the 12 km long dream slope "Bellunese", which starts at an altitude of 3,269 m and leads down to Malga Ciapela over diverse sections. With the upgrade "Dolomiti Superski", one of the largest ski areas world wide, with 1,200 kilometres of piste, 450 lift systems and 30 snowparks, is available to winter sports fans. On the well-known "Sellaronda", you can even traverse the four Dolomite passes over 40 km, wthout having to unfasten your skis once. Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain scenery are guaranteed!

With 33 blue slopes, beginners won't be missing out either. The more gentle slopes are perfectly suited for skiers and snowboards to practice on. In the separated ski school area, little ones can get used to skiing without being disturbed.

The Arraba Superpark offers countless opportunities for freestylers, with tables, kickers, rails and boxes. A fun-slope ensures excellent fun on the piste.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Après ski Malga Ciapela

Malga Ciapela is not exactly the poster child for large aprés ski bars or boisterous parties. The peaceful ski resort is more suited for an afternoon full of relaxation in the hotel's spa area or for a cosy winter walk through natural surroundings. If you still want to be active, sporty activities like snow shoe hikes or ice climbing area available in the natural canyon "Serrai di Sottoguda".

If you still want to party after a day on the slopes, celebrations can take place in the aprés ski bar "Peter" in Arabba until 19:00, approx. 25 km away. Additionally, party fans can find a number of bars and clubs with good music and a boisterous atmosphere in the well-known World Cup town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, which can be reached after around an hour's drive.

Snowpark: Snowpark Arabba Superpark Malga Ciapela

Freestylers can let off steam in the Arabba Superpark, near to the Le Pale chairlift. Over a length of 500 m, numerous tables, kickers, rails and boxes offer sufficient diversity. The different levels of difficulty provide both beginners and pros enough of a challenge and plenty of fun. A chill-out area, with its own shapers and music, is perfectly suited for relaxing in between the fun.

The fun-slope Arabba is also able to be reached with the Le Pale chair lift, and offers even more fun on the slopes with its banked curves, small jumps, tunnels, bridges and "snails".
