Ski area Livigno

The "Livigno" lift pass offers you 115 kilometres of piste, 31 lift systems and wonderfully wide pistes. Thanks to its high altitude between 1,816 and 2,798 metres and numerous snow-making facilities, the area is very reliable in terms of snow.

The pistes extend on both sides of the valley, so you can always ski in the sun. Freeriders have numerous deep snow options on the Carosello side and the two snowparks on the Mottolino and Carosello with half and quarter-pipes, numerous kickers, rails and a boardercross course provide plenty of fun. Thanks to these top fun parks, Livigno is also a regular venue for competitions that are absolutely worth seeing! One of the few black pistes is the Monte Neve Valfin piste. Otherwise, the area is characterised by an easy to intermediate level. Beginners will find some practice slopes for their first turns near the village. For children, there is a ski kindergarten and several children's areas on the outskirts of Livigno. There is also plenty for the little ones to discover in the ski area, such as wave courses and race tracks.

An annual highlight is the "La Skieda" telemark festival, which provides plenty of fun at the end of the season with themed parties, taster courses and equipment tests. The perfect integration between the village and ski area also contributes to the great popularity of the high valley.

There are three areas with free Wi-Fi hotspots in the ski area.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Night skiing Livigno

When it gets dark and night falls over Italy, it's usually time to take off your skis or snowboard and let the day fade away. But in the night skiing area around Livigno, you can ski longer than usual: Night skiing is offered there on selected days. All winter sports enthusiasts who can't get enough can then enjoy the descent until late in the evening. Night skiing is a highlight that nobody should miss out on. Because whizzing down the perfectly groomed pistes in the dark makes the heart of every winter sports enthusiast beat faster. Followed by a hot mulled wine, punch or tea, night skiing leaves nothing to be desired.

Après ski Livigno

There are many rustic huts in the ski area and at the valley stations where après ski is a top priority. Livigno is in no way inferior to the Austrian ski resorts here! The hot drink "Bombardino", which was invented in a bar in Livigno over 50 years ago, is served as a regional speciality for après ski. A variety of cosy restaurants, cafés, bars and pubs as well as a wine bar and a disco also provide variety in the evening.

Other attractive activities include tobogganing, ice skating, ice climbing, 20 km of winter hiking trails, snowmobiling and quad biking, horse riding, bowling and billiards. There is also a swimming pool and a fitness centre. If you want to get to know the traditional and cultural side of Livigno, you should take a tour of the many churches worth seeing. Some of them date back to the 17th century and are home to interesting art treasures.

Due to its special geographical position, Livigno has been declared a duty-free zone - a dream come true for all shopping enthusiasts!

Snowpark Livigno: Mottolino & The Beach - Carosello 3000

The Livigno ski area is very popular with ambitious winter sports enthusiasts, as you can expect absolute reliability of snow here with an altitude of up to 2,798 metres. Of course, freeriders and freestylers also get their money's worth here and can "powder" and "shred" for all they're worth. A total of two different snowparks offer high-altitude fun of the latest standard.

Starting with the "Mottolino - Snowpark", where four lines and a jib line invite you to give free rein to your creativity, every risk level can be reached. While the absolute beginners among you can take their first steps in the "S-Line", the majority of the "young and wild" are more likely to spend time in the "M-Line", which awaits you with new rails, boxes and jumps. If you have been active in the scene for a while and consider yourself a pro, the "L/XL-Line" will be your new house, because everything from spectacular jumps to photo shoots and events is on offer here. The jib area and an adjacent boardercross course also leave plenty of room for a test of strength on a smaller scale. The park also has its own snowmaking system so that nothing stands in the way of freestyling.

"The Beach - Carosello 3000" in the Carosello sub-area has a similar structure, with just a few differences. For example, an air bag in the centre of the park ensures a soft landing and motivating music will get you going at full speed. All riders also get free Wi-Fi and access to the chill-out area.
