Ski area Espace Diamant

Les Saisies is one of five snow areas that merged in 2005 with Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, Praz sur Arly, Flumet and Crest-Voland to form the large Espace Diamant ski area (1,000 to 2,069 m). This means that skiers and snowboarders can enjoy a total of 192 km of pistes here, which are accessed by 82 lifts and gondolas. The ski area of Les Saisies is located on the Col des Saisies, which gives it its name. For the most part, the slopes run through forests, but also over wide alpine pastures that nestle against the gentle mountain slopes.

At almost all valley stations, there are stops of the local ski bus network , so that journeys by private car are not necessary at all for winter sports enthusiasts between the ski areas. One of these valley stations is that of the Rosières lift in Bisanne. In order to be able to transport up to 2,400 people per hour to Mont Bisanne, the old 4-seater chair lift was replaced by a state-of-the-art 10-seater gondola lift here for the start of the 2021/22 season.

More than 130 kilometres of easy pistes underline the family and beginner-friendly character of Espace Diamant. At just under 7 kilometres, the Choucas in Crest-Voland forms the longest downhill run in the entire ski area, where winter sports enthusiasts conquer over 700 metres of altitude. Experienced skiers looking for a sporting challenge can try the 900-metre Ebranchets run. The black, not always groomed slope leads from Mont Rond through the forest steeply down into the valley.

The focus in Les Saisies is not only on the big skiers, but also on the winter activities for the little ones. Highlights here are the Forêt des Elfes and the Jardin d'enfants. In the forest above the village there is a child-friendly puzzle course that can be completed on skis or snowshoes, while ski courses for children from the age of three take place in the ski kindergarten on the northern edge of the village.

Night skiing Les Saisies

Winter sports enthusiasts who still cannot get enough of the piste experience after dark are in good hands in Les Saisies. The one-kilometre-long piste at the Les Périots lift, for example, is the only one in Espace Diamant equipped with a floodlight system for night skiing. Skiers and snowboarders do not need an additional ski pass to use the classic platter lift during the special opening hours. Thus, day and multi-day passes for entire Espace Diamant are also valid for night skiing. There is no fixed schedule for floodlit operation. Instead, the local tourist information always announces the corresponding opening times at short notice in its own event programme.

Après ski Les Saisies

Après-ski in Les Saisies does not necessarily mean party. However, the traditional focus on a family audience does not mean that there are no cocktails and good music after a long day on the slopes at the ski resort with a view of Mont Blanc (4,809 m). The primary place to go is the "La Dava" restaurant, which is particularly popular with local ski instructors thanks to its location right next to the chair lift Challiers and offers a wide selection of drinks and food. Live music and DJ performances are also a regular feature at the café "L'Olymp" in the centre of town. Other restaurants serve classics such as cheese fondue and raclette as well as specialities from the Savoy Alps.

Besides culinary delights, Les Saisies also offers plenty of action off the slopes in the open air. For example, the popular 750-metre-long summer toboggan run "Mountain Twister" takes you downhill in a double-seater toboggan at up to 40 kilometres per hour also in winter. Positive adrenaline rushes are also guaranteed for guests on the "Escaladventure". Above the gorge of Nant Rouge (between Les Saisies and Crest Voland), the adventure course offers suspension bridges, rope slides and high ropes course elements.

Snowpark: Espace Diamant Les Saisies

A little pinch of fun and freestyle: that is the best way to describe the snow parks in Espace Daimant. Due to the focus on a family audience, the offer has been adapted accordingly. The largest snow park is located directly at the Tour du Pin lift in Crest Voland. There, the "Waouland Cohennoz" offers skiers and snowboarders several boxes, rails and various kickers. In Les Saisies, at the Fôret lift, there is another area with kickers and rails, as well as one of several boarder and skicross tracks that can always be found in the ski area Espace Diamant. Like in Waouland Mont Rond, where the track first runs through a forest and then over a wide alpine pasture with a few jumps.
