Ski area La Rosière Espace San Bernardo

Cross-border skiing has a long tradition in La Rosière. Since 1986, the French ski resort has been connected with La Thuile on the Italian side of the Little St. Bernard Pass via two ski lifts. Together, the ski resort in the Tarentaise and the small village in the Aosta Valley form the ski area "Espace San Bernardo". Here, more than 140 kilometres of pistes attract skiers and snowboarders every winter, who can be taken up to 2,800 m via 37 lifts and a gondola.

Due to this altitude, snow is guaranteed in the alpine border region, especially in the high season. The slopes offer a broad spectrum that suits all winter sports enthusiasts. The gentle slopes in the ski area La Rosière are more likely to attract beginners, while in the Italian part, the picturesque La Thuile is considered an Eldorado for sporty skiers because of its numerous red slopes. Especially on the 11-kilometre-long downhill run no. 7, the San Bernardo, they can fully enjoy while overcoming a static altitude difference of 800 metres.

Away from the groomed slopes, freeride acrobats can also let off steam in the deep snow in the Espace San Bernardo, and there is also a small but excellent 5.2-kilometre network of ski routes for touring enthusiasts.

Après ski La Rosière

Enjoy a cold aperitif on one of many sun terraces in the ski area or get indulged in the restaurants of La Rosière with history-influenced meals from the Savoryard and Italian cuisine. When it comes to classic après-ski in Espace San Beranrdo, enjoying is definitely the order of the day. The highlight is certainly the 130 m² "Igloo", where delicious cheese fondue is served for lunch between an ice bar and ice sculptures. And of course there are always parties in the 9 ski huts at the end of a long day of skiing.

Away from the slopes and the culinary delights, however, the resort has several other leisure options to offer its visitors. On the steel Panoramic Experience platform, which towers several metres above the abyss at the Fort chair lift, spectacular souvenir photos can be taken against the backdrop of the peaks of the Savoy Alps. And winter sports enthusiasts looking for even more adrenaline kicks are well catered for with snowkiting on the Little St. Bernhard Pass or ice climbing as well as parachuting over the ski area. Somewhat more dignified and romantic, on the other hand, are the torchlight hikes that take place regularly at night.

Snowpark: Poletta snow park La Rosière

Freestyle fan of all ages can let off steam undisturbed in the Poletta snow park in the La Rosière ski area. Accessible via the drag lift of the same name, young ski acrobats can first try their hand on the three easy lines (green and blue). The red line, on the other hand, is the ideal place for advanced skiers to perfect their tricks and grabs. In addition, children can gain their first experience of freestyle skiing on a mini boardercross course while riding through tunnels and over waves.
