With 580 km of slopes, 163 lifts and an area of over 400 km², the Les Portes du Soleil ski resort is one of the largest in the world and is truly impressive in its sheer scale! It offers romantic runs through the woods, unspoilt deep-snow slopes, steep mogul runs and first-class fun parks. This is Les Portes du Soleil, the "Gates of the Sun"!

The sprawling ski area between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc is perfect for day trips, whilst the cosy ski huts invite you to linger. A total of eleven snow parks and four boardercross courses await snowboarders. Avoriaz, situated at an altitude that guarantees snow, is the hub of the snowboarding scene with four fun parks, a half-pipe, a forest run with obstacles and a wide range of options for night owls. Deep-snow and freeride enthusiasts also have a huge choice! Advanced skiers can put their skills to the test on the notorious mogul run "Le Mur Suisse" at the Chavanette Pass or on the public race course with timekeeping.

Beginners will find plenty to enjoy, particularly on the French side. When crossing the border, you should never forget to bring a valid identity card, as checks are carried out regularly here!
