Ski area Silvretta Montafon
Thanks to the balanced division between blue, red and black pistes, everyone will find the right descent here: Beginners can enjoy wedeling on parts of the longest piste in the ski area (Hochjoch-Totale on Grasjoch), on which you overcome a difference in altitude of 1,740 m over a length of 12 km. The 2 km long "Piste 44", on the other hand, is reserved for professionals.
Safe deep powder snow and freeride areas also offer plenty of variety away from the piste - for example in the popular area on the Hochjoch - easily accessible! A highlight for freestylers is the Snowpark Montafon. The former 780-metre-long Nova Park fun park was relocated to the Grasjoch and significantly expanded for this purpose.
The ski area is particularly suitable for experts and freeriders. Under the motto "BlackScorpions - fancy a little fear sweat?", you can experience the seven most difficult and steepest descents here, which are definitely not for the faint-hearted!
Furthermore, a speed measuring track and a public race track with time measurement await you to record your personal best performances.
With the "Montafon Brandnertal WildPass" lift pass, skiers and snowboarders can even enjoy a total of 296 kilometres of piste (see ski region).
Après ski Silvretta Montafon
In addition, you will find a variety of après ski options spread across the entire ski area, from small ski huts to large restaurants. Here you will be offered a wide selection of food, from simple regional dishes to culinary delights.
Away from the pistes, there are several toboggan runs in the Montafon - including the longest night toboggan run in Vorarlberg at 5.5 kilometres. Night tobogganing also takes place at the Garfreschabahn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Afterwards, you can enjoy a hearty mountain meal at the T3 Hotel Garfrscha and round off the evening in a cosy atmosphere (toboggan hire and dinner not included). Those who prefer ice skates, on the other hand, are drawn to the natural ice rink in Partenen. And climbers will also find their favourite spot in winter: the Burg winter via ferrata.
Snowshoeing in the Montafon is a worthwhile alternative to partying andbogganing. Numerous marked routes lead through snow-covered landscapes in the region - from leisurely to challenging, there is something for every level. A circular tour to the Rellseck guesthouse, for example, is particularly popular and can be completed in around 3.5 hours. Trails to the hunting lodge or in the direction of Kristberg also offer impressive views. If you don't know your way around or prefer to be accompanied, you can take part in guided snowshoe and winter hikes.
Snowpark Silvretta Montafon: Snowpark Montafon
The nearest snow park to let off steam is located in Silvretta Montafon. The Snowpark Montafon, located at the Fredakopf lifts, was built for the first time in April 2012 and has since impressed with brand new obstacles and an exciting setup. A total of 40 different obstacles with 20 jibs, which are shaped every day by a team of several people, enable a wide range of moves and jumps. Different sized kickers, rails, jibs, boxes, hips and wall rides leave nothing to be desired and invite you to let your creativity run wild. A chill-out area also offers space to relax and chat to good music after a busy day.
Action and fun are also guaranteed with the various cross trails in the ski area. Whether freeride and family cross on the Freda lift or kids' cross on the Kapell lift - everyone will find their own personal challenge here.
