Ski area Stubai Glacier
Since the expansion of the ski area, the 4-seater chairlift "Daunjoch" has opened up numerous freeriding opportunities in addition to a black run. With a gradient of up to 60%, the "Daunhill" ski slope leads over 1.8 km to the Gamsgarten. The comfortable 8-seater chairlift at Rotadl takes winter sports enthusiasts comfortably up the mountain with weather protection hoods and seat heating. Incidentally, the longest run on the Stubai Glacier measures a full 10 km! The challenging route begins as blue run no. 7 and, from the Gamsgarten middle station, transitions into the "Wilde Grub'n" ski route, which leads to the Eisgrat valley station.
The Stubai Glacier ski resort is one of Austria's most child-friendly family ski resorts and has received numerous awards for this. One example is the children's ski school, where specially trained ski instructors offer children the perfect introduction to skiing. A separate area is available for this purpose: a covered conveyor belt, a glacier hut to warm up in, or skiing with ropes, cones and colourful obstacles – everything is there. All of this is available exclusively to the youngest skiers. Whether it's BIG snowcat rides, BIG family slalom, BIG family boardercross, BIG family fun slope or BIG family snow castle: there's no time for boredom in the family ski area. All that romping around in the fresh air makes you hungry. A children's restaurant offers delicious meals upon prior reservation, so that the children are fuelled up for the rest of the day. For the little ones who don't feel like skiing, there is also a kindergarten in the middle of the ski area.
Snowboarders and freeskiers also get their money's worth: the Stubai Zoo Funpark is one of the largest and best snow parks around Innsbruck – lots of fun is guaranteed here!
Après ski Stubai Glacier
If you want to take off after skiing, you should definitely pay a visit to the "Air-Parc im Stubay"! The indoor freestyle paradise offers parcour courses, a ramp for skateboards and several trampolines to let off steam.
Snowpark Stubai Glacier: Snowpark Stubai Zoo
Located in Austria's largest glacier area, the Stubai Zoo snow park is divided into two sections. In autumn, the Stubai Zoo XL opens its doors at an altitude of 3,100 metres, right next to the Gaisskarferner lift. Covering several hectares, beginners and professionals alike can practise their tricks on lines of varying difficulty with kickers, tubes, rails and hips.
In winter and spring, the Stubai Zoo Spring Garden Park at the Rotadl lift delights visitors with pro, medium, jib and easy lines. Creative obstacles invite freestylers to shred, while chill beats and deck chairs in the park base ensure relaxed breaks.
For families, there is also the beginners' area with the Big Family Fun Slope, which offers varied and fun descents with waves and steep turns.
