Ski area Rofan

The "Rofan-Maurach" lift pass opens up access to around 11 km of perfectly groomed pistes in the Rofan ski area, which extends at an altitude of between 980 and 1,870 metres. Five lift systems, including the Rofan cable car, transport winter sports enthusiasts comfortably to the manageable area - perfect for families who appreciate peace and quiet and relaxed days of skiing. The youngest guests can practise their first turns on gentle slopes and varied parcour courses in the Ski-Kinderland right in the valley. They are playfully supported by Bobo the penguin and Snowy the snow bunny.

Thanks to modern snow-making facilities, the piste conditions remain reliable right into spring. For deep snow fans, the area at the Seekarspitze is ideal, and from the mountain station of the Rofanbahn, charming ski tours with wonderful views start.

A very special adventure awaits with the "AirRofan" skyglider: at around 80 km/h, you soar like an eagle from the Gschöllkopf (2,040 m) about 200 metres downhill - an experience that takes your breath away. If you prefer to take it easy, you can watch the brave flying artists from one of the surrounding mountain huts and enjoy the panorama.

With the "Region Achensee" lift pass (see ski region), you even have a total of 53 varied kilometres of piste at your disposal. The neighbouring Zwölferkopf ski area near Pertisau is known for its varied pistes and great panoramic views over Lake Achensee.

Après ski Rofan

The region around Lake Achensee stands out from après ski strongholds thanks to its tranquillity and beautiful nature. Here, the days come to a cosy and enjoyable end. You can enjoy a typical Tyrolean evening with exquisite food and drinks, music, entertainment and concerts.

There are numerous winter hiking trails around Lake Achensee and its villages for an active holiday. There is also a 1.5 km long toboggan run in Maurach. You can also do your laps on the ice skating rink. A highlight for action fans, however, is the "AirRofan" skyglider: in this extraordinary flying experience, you are attached to an 800 metre long rope and view Lake Achensee from above - at speeds of up to 80 km/h. It's not for the faint-hearted! Not for the faint-hearted!
