Ski area Silvretta Arena

The "VIP Ski Pass" offers winter sports enthusiasts in Ischgl a unique experience on a total of 239 kilometres of pistes and an additional 15 km of ski routes with 46 lifts at an impressive altitude of up to 2,872 metres. Thanks to this altitude and the perfect development with modern snow-making facilities, snow is guaranteed from November to May.

The two-country ski area Ischgl with its connection to the Swiss Samnaun is one of the largest ski areas in Austria. The longest piste "Eleven" measures a proud 11 km and leads from the highest point of the Greitspitze down to the centre of the village. On the expert slope "14a", where only experienced winter sports enthusiasts should plunge into the race feeling, there is a gradient of up to 70 percent. And the numerous deep snow variations and mogul slopes also make expert skiers' hearts beat faster. On the easy pistes around the Idalp, however, beginners can also slowly get to grips with winter fun. The ski area around Ischgl is also a real highlight for the boarders. The most popular meeting point is the halfpipe at the Idjoch chairlift.

Trend and lifestyle are also very important here on the slopes, which the large freestyle park, the "Ischgl Snowpark powered by Jeep" above the Idalp, only hints at. If it gets too crowded on the Idalp, you can switch to the Swiss part of the ski area. But be careful with duty-free shopping in Samnaun: skiing customs officers keep an eye on overly bulging backpacks...

A special attraction in the ski area is the "Ischgl SkyFly", a wire rope on which you can fly 50 m above the ground down to the valley. The integrated ski transport makes this development a successful alternative to the downhill run. Also providing comfort are the modern 8-seater Idalp chairlift, which leads up to the Flimjoch, and an improved piste guidance system.

For the winter season 18/19, the old "Gampenbahn" was removed and replaced by a new 6-seater chairlift. The new lift has a difference in altitude of 900 m, a new world record for a lift of this type. The three-cable gondola lift Pardatschgratbahn goes from the eastern centre of the village up to the Pardatschgrat and is thus a perfect feeder lift to the Idalp. It covers 1,251 metres in altitude - the largest difference in altitude in the world that a three-cable gondola lift can cover. The "Piz Val Gronda" aerial tramway, on the other hand, which opens up the terrain in the Fimba Valley, is particularly interesting for freeriders. A 3 km long red slope, but above all some unknown deep snow slopes. You can plunge into the powder fun directly from the mountain station - a must in the freeride hotspot Ischgl.

Après ski Silvretta Arena

Ischgl is known as a stronghold of après-ski and with its vibrant nightlife can certainly keep up with any metropolis in the world. In addition to cosy ski huts, bars and restaurants, countless discos invite you to toast a successful day of skiing. The highlight of the hustle and bustle is the lively après-ski party that takes place daily in the famous "Kuhstall". But the party also goes on in the "Trofana-Alm" and in "Niki's Stadl". Among the discos in Ischgl, the "Madlein-Pacha" is one of the best, also because it regularly offers a hot show programme. The crowning glory of all the shows is the annual open-air concert on the Idalp over 1 May, at which mega stars such as Tina Turner, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Sting, Pink, Wir Sind Helden and Bob Dylan have already performed.

On the other hand, it is much quieter in the many cosy cafés where you can meet for a delicious cocoa or coffee after the fun on the slopes. In addition, the Silvretta Centre hosts a wide variety of cultural events, from vernissages and concerts to theatre and cinema performances. The 7 km long night toboggan run with a height difference of 950 m is certainly a unique experience. Furthermore, paragliding tandem flights with professional flight instructors are offered in Ischgl, so that everyone who is brave enough can get a little closer to the dream of flying during a skiing holiday.

However, if you are looking for rest and relaxation after an exciting day on the piste, the Silvretta Therme Ischgl with its sauna village, solarium and massages is just the place for you.

The ban on ski boots at night in Ischgl, on the other hand, is curious and controversial! If guests are wandering around at night, it is best to avoid wearing ski boots. Because from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. it is not permitted to walk through Ischgl on ski boots. This is to reduce noise pollution and avoid dangerous situations. Violators of the ban face considerable fines. The reactions to this ban are mixed and range from approval to incomprehension.

Snowpark Silvretta Arena: Ischgl Snowpark powered by Jeep

The "Ischgl Snowpark powered by Jeep" extends over two sections and also offers a fun line with a few surprises.

In park area 1 "All Fun" everyone can have fun. From freestyle beginners to motivated kids and old snow park veterans, everyone can let off steam here and gain their first experience. With 16 elements, consisting of lots of boxes, fun tubes and roller jumps, the park is perfect for first air-time moments or simply to try out a stylish 180 or 360.

For all those who want to go even higher, the "Improve your skills" in Parkarea 2 comes into play. For the first exercises, an airbag is available nearby to prepare you for the new challenge of 15 tanks, jumps and boxes without falling or hurting. At the park exit, the park base with music and deckchairs invites you to relax.

The fun line "get stoked" offers variety with waves, steep turns, speed boosters and jumps for all those who get bored with the classic downhill runs in the long run. This course is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of every winter sports enthusiast.

The park is also very easy to reach via the Velill six-seater chairlift.
