Ski area Ehrwalder Alm/Wettersteinbahnen

The ski resort comprises two separate areas: the Ehrwalder Alm and the Wettersteinbahnen. The Ehrwalder Alm has 8 lifts and a total of around 28.5 kilometres of slopes. However, the neighbouring Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen ski resort at the foot of the Zugspitze is every bit as good as the Ehrwalder Alm. The Wetterstein Mountains offer skiing fun across a total of 21 kilometres of slopes of all difficulty levels and also feature 2 chairlifts and T-bar lifts. With its practice slope and children’s area, the ski resort is ideal for learning, especially for young skiers.

With its high-altitude sun terraces, perfectly groomed slopes and guaranteed snow, Ehrwald fulfils every winter sports enthusiast’s wish! That is why the Ehrwalder Alm ski resort has once again been awarded the Tyrol Province’s Seal of Quality for slopes.

Ehrwald also scores highly when it comes to its lift facilities: in addition to the 8-seater gondola lift, which takes you comfortably up to the Ehrwalder Alm, the ski resort boasts 3 state-of-the-art 6-seater chairlifts with weather protection hoods and heated seats.

With the “Top Snow Card”, you also have access to 10 ski resorts with a total of 213 kilometres of slopes (including ski routes) and around 78 lifts, including Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze on the German side, as well as Biberwier, Lermoos and Berwang in Austria (see ski region).

Night skiing Ehrwalder Alm/Wettersteinbahnen

The nearest night skiing area is also not far from Ehrwald. In neighbouring Lermoos, approx. 4 km away, popular night skiing is possible. The small but beautiful night skiing area is located right on the outskirts of the village and forms the centre of evening skiing fun in the ski area. The 8-seater Family Jet gondola lift takes you up to an approx. 0.5 km long piste, which is floodlit. Once a week, the operating hours of the gondola lift are extended so that you can ski on the blue piste until approx. 20:30. To round off the night skiing, there is the opportunity to take part in torch-lit runs. Together with ski instructors, romantics and night owls can ski down into the twilight with a torch or glow stick in hand. In the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, there is another night skiing piste in Bergwangertal that invites you to ski in the evening.

Snowpark Ehrwalder Alm/Wettersteinbahnen: Ehrwalder Alm snow park

The professionally built Ehrwalder Alm snow park is located in the centre of the ski area, along the Klämmli piste, and is groomed to perfection every day. The Klämmli lift, which is just as long as the park, provides one run after another. Various jumps (6 - 12 metres), rails, boxes and much more, spread over 3 lines (small, medium and large), offer plenty of practice opportunities for beginners and pros alike.
