Cross-country Achenkirch

With a total of around 232.5 kilometres of trails, the Achensee region offers one of the largest and best-maintained cross-country skiing networks in Austria. The trails are divided into 118.5 kilometres of skating trails and 114 kilometres of classic trails and are separately groomed, so that both classic cross-country skiers and skaters will find ideal conditions. Around 40 kilometres of these trails can be covered with artificial snow. Suitable cross-country skiing courses are offered for beginners in all locations in the region.

However, there are also highly recommended cross-country skiing trails in the vicinity of Achenkirch. An absolute highlight for cross-country skiing fans is the trail from Pertisau to the Falzthurntal valley, which runs for over 14 kilometres close to the rock faces of the Karwendel mountains and leads into a sunny valley. All locations in the Achensee region also offer trails prepared for skating style and barrier-free trails. Pertisau even has its own dog trails, for which a fee is charged.

The trail network in the Achensee region has been awarded the Trail Seal of Quality.
